Tour of the Fort Montgomery Historic Site
Fort Montgomery was the scene of a fierce Revolutionary War battle for control of the Hudson River. Today, visitors can tour the remains of the 14-acre fortification, perched on a cliff overlooking the magnificent Hudson.
Event participants will have the opportunity to tour the grounds of this dramatic battle site. Drawing on firsthand accounts and archaeological data, this guided walk by a uniformed interpreter will bring to life the Revolutionary War attach on Fort Montgomery and the history of the fort. See authentic archaeological artifacts discovered in the ruins of Fort Montgomery, mannequin displays, and a large-scale 3D model. Program will conclude with a musket firing demonstration!
Please indicate in your registration below that you would like to participate in this tour.
